Brief History
The first ever grand reunion of the alumni took place right at the old Main Building in Molave in 1981. Graduates of class 1960 up to class 1980 attended.
The second grand reunion was held at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in August, 1998. This reunion saw the move to formalized the organization of the Foundation.
- • The P61,000 cash surplus generated out of this reunion was endorsed by the event’s host and organizer, class ’64 to the first set of officers elected to the MLQHSAFI in the month immediately following the PUP grand reunion.
The MLQHSAFI was registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission on November 3, 1998 as a non-stock and non-profit organization with the P61,000 PUP proceeds as capital and seed money.
- • Induction to office of the charter officers of the Foundation held at the Manila Hotel in the 3rd Grand Reunion of December 3, 1998.

From 1999 through 2000, the MLQHS Alumni Foundation launched an awareness campaign to make MLQHS alumni aware of its existence. This program was anchored on quarterly reunions orgnized and held during the time period. At each of the reunions held quarterly, four MLQHS batches celebrated what was to be, in most cases, their first homecoming since graduating from high school; i.e.:
- • First Quarterly Reunion of Classes 1960, 1961, 1962, and 1963
- • Second Quarterly Reunion of Classes 1964, 1965, 1966, and 1967
- • Third Quartery Reunion of Classes 1968,1969, 1970, and 1971
- • Fourth Quarterly Reunion of Classes 1972, 1973, 1974, and 1975
